NEW FOOD OFFERING AT FLUOR
Kagiso
Khulani Supervision Food Services (KKS), a specialist operating
division of Compass Group SA, a leading outsourced catering
company in SA has joined forces with Fluor management to
revitalise and upgrade the food offering at the Fluor head
offices in Sandton.
The canteen itself
has been completely redesigned with a new, fresh look, customer
friendly serving area and a state-of-the-art kitchen. KKS, which
has been providing catering services to Fluor for over four
years, has complimented this revamp by completely overhauling
the menu.
Variety was key
when creating the new menu, explains Edward Morton, general
manager operations. There is a definite trend towards a
healthier diet, so we incorporated this, and still kept great
taste and fresh ingredients as top priorities.
Some of the
offerings include a wide selection of breakfast and lunch
salads, a call-order bar where sandwiches are freshly made
according to customer specifications, Harvest Tables with treats
such as muffins, quiches, cakes and organic snacks, and a deli
fridge with a variety of healthy sandwiches, juices and mineral
waters. A hot breakfast is served every day, and includes bacon,
eggs, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast and fried onions. The
breakfast includes one additional item such as waffles,
pancakes, mince, chicken livers, etc., which is changed on a
daily basis.
The newly
introduced Kitchen Theatre is an area which is permanently
manned by a KKS staff member, and offers a different hot item
every day. Foods such as pizza, schwarmas, nachos, stir fry and
baked potatoes. There is also a Pasta Bar and pub basket where
customers can enjoy Potato Wedges, BBQ Chicken Wings, Marinated
Ribs, Mini Beef Kebabs and Chicken Nuggets.
This new food
concept has bee well received by the people on site, and it is
encouraging to see such a positive response from our customers,
says Edward.
